Udumakahle - Ama flashlight

South African Maskandi artist Udumakahle features “Ama flashlight” as the third track on his latest project, Isithunzi Sakho. Clocking in at 4 minutes and 42 seconds, the song forms part of the 13-track first disc of the album, released on September 25, 2026.

The track arrives early in the project, following the opening songs “Ukhona uShembe” and “Imbali,” the latter featuring Shwi noMtekhala. Across Disc 1, Udumakahle combines traditional Maskandi rhythms with Zulu vocal elements and storytelling, creating a body of work built around different aspects of life, relationships, family and personal challenges.

With its position near the beginning of Isithunzi Sakho, “Ama flashlight” helps establish the musical direction of the project before the album moves into tracks such as “Icar Accident” and “Sihlukana Sibuyelana.” The song adds another chapter to Udumakahle’s latest Maskandi offering while contributing to the wider narrative of the album.
