Uzondi - HARDWARE

South African Maskandi musician uZondi has added “HARDWARE” to his growing musical catalogue as part of his latest album, WENKULUNKULU, released in October 2026. The recording marks another contribution to the artist's traditional music repertoire, bringing fresh material to audiences who appreciate contemporary Maskandi and isiZulu cultural expression. As one of the compositions featured on the ten-track project, “HARDWARE” highlights the musician's continued recording activity while offering listeners another opportunity to explore his artistic development. The release also strengthens the selection of indigenous South African music available to fans following the genre's latest developments.

“HARDWARE” occupies the sixth position on WENKULUNKULU, appearing between “UFUN’UKUNGITEMA” and “UZOMMELA YINI?” on the official tracklist published by music outlets. The album also features “NIHLALA KULIPHI?,” “SENGIYAHLULEKA,” “LWALUNGEKE,” “NIZOWUSUTHA YINI?,” “Angisayisebenzi,” and “NGIZE.” Although the English title introduces an unusual element among the predominantly isiZulu song names, its specific meaning within the composition has not been confirmed. Through this collection, uZondi presents a range of recordings that further expand his discography and provide new material for enthusiasts of South African traditional music.

The arrival of “HARDWARE” follows earlier projects from uZondi, including Ngingohlakaniphile and Into Yamahhala, which contributed to his recorded career. His latest offering creates another opportunity for listeners to become familiar with his musical catalogue and discover accompanying compositions from WENKULUNKULU. For audiences searching for new Maskandi songs in October 2026, traditional Zulu music, and South African album releases, “HARDWARE” represents another track worth exploring. <Cite refs={["turn429031search0","turn429031search2"]}/>
